GALLERY

Reconquista — the return (from 718 to 1492) by the Spaniards and Portuguese of lands on the Iberian Peninsula captured as a result of Muslim aggression. Here is a gallery of portraits of the leaders of the Reconquista. Of course, portraits are mostly conditional image. In those ancient times, they still could not (or no longer could) write from nature. And yet, the publication of these portraits is a sign of our deep respect for those who fought for the preservation of the Christian world and culture.
